• Achieved significant reduction of overhead costs, increase of revenue and the maintenance of current customer/dealer channel loyalty via a consistent branding messaging intertwined with business unit individuality.

Overhead cost reduction via the following concepts and applications:
MyKonicaMinolta.com – This website dramatically reduced the cost of customer service for employees, direct and wholesale channel users. The functionality allowed for order entry, distribution of bulletins and other communications, specialized pricing, human resource benefit automation, service request workflow, access to online learning and other functions.
MyMBS.com – Through this website, direct customers entered meter reads and service calls, ordered contracted supplies, and access fleet information directly out of SAP. The SAP SM (Service Management) module is used extensively. The SM module required extensive customization to accommodate the needed changes. The MyKMBS.com application relieved internal staff from entering data for the functions of meter readings, ordering supplies and entering service calls.
Wireless Dispatch Application – This application gave service technicians the ability to dispatch, close and interrupt services calls, reading and writing directly to SAP. They entered company car information, enter non-machine time, order parts, research solutions, and place service calls for the customer. This increased the integrity of the system data, gave better insight to meeting contracted terms. It also allowed the company to move to a centralized model resulting in a reduction of overhead. The website was built in conjunction with SAP customizations to the SM module and Sales & Distribution module.
LDAP – The LDAP system was used for both authentication and authorization. It housed 25,000 users (dealers and employees) with varying sales channels, access, and roles. Automated data entry originated in an SFA program, payroll system, and other systems. Data from LDAP fed dozens of other applications on an automated basis. This data sharing throughout the company reduced the resources required to maintain the data in varying systems.
Merger Initiatives – Following the merger in 2003, dozens of initiatives took place to merger not only technologies, but business processes. Web Services took an intricate role in the planning and successful execution of those business process merger initiatives.
